Home in the Foothills

We pulled in last Saturday, driving for more hours that we had on any other day of our trip. I guess we just really wanted to get home!
Jim totalled our mileage and we drove 5079 miles all together. It was a great trip and we are thankful that we had no mechanical failures, no close calls on the highways and we were healthy the whole time! Our last day on the road, when we crossed into California, of course, we payed $5.09 for diesel. That was the most we paid. I guess we'll park the truck and drive the old Subaru when we need to.
We feel blessed to have been able to see more of this great country!

I am so glad our gas prices are nothing like yours in California! Still...we are trying to only drive one car which feels impossible.
Glad you had such a nice trip...hope you keep writing, we enjoy reading!
